LiFePO4 batteries are making their way into the floor cleaning market because of the many benefits they offer. Lithium batteries offer up to 8500 cycles of use as oppose to traditional sealed lead-acid batteries that offer only 400 cycles. This means you won’t need to replace the batteries nearly as often. Lithium batteries also provide a constant current of discharge and can be fully recharged in only one hour. Lithium floor machine batteries are designed to ensure floor cleaning equipment operates with full power throughout the shift while requiring zero maintenance. Adding water or cleaning acid residue is never required. Better yet, lithium batteries are super lightweight which allows for easy installation and replacement!

PRODUCTIVITY There are a few reasons LiFePO4 batteries can, and do, provide increased runtime over lead-acid batteries. 1. The main reason is that a lithium battery provides the full rated capacity, regardless of the rate of discharge. Lead-acid batteries are typically rated at the 5-hour or 20-hour rate, which are based on constant current, laboratory-tested, and low rates of discharge. For example, a 200Ah (based on the 20-hr rate) lead-acid battery will provide 200Ah if it is run at a constant current of 10A for 20 hours. However, that same battery may provide only 135Ah if it is run at a constant current of 75A for 1.8 hours. |  |
